New OH&S legislation specifies the obligations of employers to protect their employees from the risk of falls from heights on building and construction sites.

Fallstop® is an award-winning edge protection system purpose designed to control these risks. Developed by Hunter Valley builder John Wilson specifically to provide a safe workplace for his own employees, Fallstop® is a simple, effective and affordable way for builders to ensure the safety of their workers and to comply with regulations.

Designed for use during installation of first storey platform flooring, wall frames, trusses, stair voids and balconies, the Fallstop system acts as a fence or ‘guardrail’ that attaches onto building framework. Its unique interchangeable, modular components allow it to adapt to all frame and joist structures. In the event of a fall, the system distributes force throughout its specially designed components, maximising risk protection. With such protection workers are able to complete the frame stage safely before a full platform scaffold is erected on site.

Fallstop not only prevents falls and falling objects, its innovative design means it installs quickly, saves space and reduces costs associated with scaffolding, making it an essential safety product.

EDGEMATE – SAFE TEMPORARY HANDRAILS FOR FALL PROTECTION!

EdgeMate Fall Protection:

Brackets connected to balcony beams support posts which in turn support three rails.

Top Rail height between 900 mm and 1100 mm above working platform.

EdgeMate Fall Protection – Handrails installed before decking is installed.

Concrete clamps secure to edge of slab as required.

Brackets installed at spacing of no more than 3 metre centres and no more than 1 metre from the corner.

L Bars can be bolted to slab soffit providing handrail which allows tiling of slab surface.
