York Civil will cease trading immediately, all 188 employees made redundant

York Civil, a major construction and engineering company, has ceased trading. This will leave all 188 of their employees out of work. The company advised its employees and contractors that the company would cease trading in a meeting on Monday morning. This outcome has happened just a week after York Civil entered voluntary administration.

South Australia to receive $415m in Infrastructure Spend. Here's how it will be spent.

As announced earlier this week, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has accelerated federal government spending on Australian infrastructure and construction projects. South Australia is the first state to strike a deal, with a $415 million infrastructure spend becoming available immediately.The South Australian economy will get a boost from the $415 million infrastructure package aiming to ease congestion and make regional roads safer. This package allows four infrastructure projects to commence, with an additional two projects provided with funds to speed up completion.

Watpac awarded major contract for Adelaide's $165 Million Airport Terminal Expansion

Watpac Limited has been appointed to deliver the construction management contract for the Adelaide Airport Terminal Expansion.    The project will support passenger growth at the terminal through to 2029 and will include major expansion and refurbishment works at the existing terminal.
