Stud welding replaces the more time-consuming stud connection method...usually including pre-stamping, drilling, tapping, welding, etc. JPR welding allows pins to be welded with ceramic tips; studs of different lengths M12, M16 and M20. Stud welding is widely used in the manufacture of wear plates. Stud welding is a fast, simple and cheap way to fix wear plates.

Common weldable wear plate materials include Bisalloy, Hardox, Creusabro, Arcoplate, Duaplate and stainless steel. When the pins are welded, intense but very local heating occurs, which does not affect the mechanical properties of the entire sheet.

Arcoplate is a wear-resistant, smooth alloy steel plate with a chromium-rich carbide coating to provide maximum wear resistance and reduce water accumulation. JPR Welding recommends Arcoplate wear plate because of its durability and excellent wear resistance.

Customers report that the implementation of the Arcoplate wear-resistant system has reduced downtime and saved costs. Switching from existing wear-resistant tiles/panels to Arcoplate reduced the replacement time from 6 weeks to 18-24 weeks. This means increasing production capacity by reducing downtime.
