TCH is an Australian private company founded in Sydney in 1995 by Jeff Condon and Gary Tait who continue to run the company to date. Jeff Condon is a Nationally Registered Professional Structural Engineer with continuous experience in the consulting, construction, demolition and bulk material handling industries since 1977.
Gary Tait has engineering qualifications with continuous experience in bulk material handling, particularly premix concrete batching plants, since the early 1970’s. Gary was a designer and then design manager for FowlerRex, who would be considered the Grandfather of the premix concrete plant construction industry in Australia, until they closed in the early 1990, at which time he continued in the industry with Northern Structures and then TCH.
TCH has an alliance with a highly experienced Electrical Engineer and Contractor, a Structural Engineering practice, a specialized Civil Contractor and a network of Steel Fabricators to handle any works we cannot handle in house and still meet your program.
TCH has offices and manufacturing facilities in Sydney, NSW, and an office on the far north coast of NSW to provide direct Consulting services to the Gold Coast and Brisbane in Qld. From these locations we can provide services in any part of Australia.

WHAT WE DO
Plant structural inspections and reporting by a senior certified practicing structural engineer who is extensively experienced in design, construction and demolition of plants. Most of the major concrete supply companies require inspections on a 5 year cycle, some our most notable contracts we have completed were with Hy-Tec, Adbri, Hanson, Boral and Holcim in NT, Qld, NSW and SA.
Plant condition inspections and reporting are performed by a senior steel fabricator/fitter extensively experienced in manufacturing, installing and maintenance. Included are ultra-sonic plate thickness tests, routine infrared temperature checks and recording on motors, gearboxes, bearings and pump housing, all reviewed by a senior designer to allow for scheduled, organized and fully costed maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
You can then use your own maintenance crew to perform the work or alternately we can do it for you.
We design and build your entire bulk material handling and/or batching facility to your performance specification on your site and to scale. Structurally sound designs and construction with proven performance. We handle the entire scope from planning and construction approval to plant commissioning, handover and ongoing maintenance.
We comply with Australian Standards inclusive of vehicle travel path planning, car parking, truck parking, services including water, sewer, electricity, telecoms and data, batch office, plant offices, plant amenities and the actual plant.
Production capacities up to 120 m3/hr per alley or loading point. A common city plant is a dual alley plant with a Production capacity of 240 m3/hr

Above ground Concrete panel material storage bins for sands and aggregates to any practical capacity. Our bins generally have a steel discharge hopper to assist with material flow.
Underground ground drive over Concrete panel material storage bins for sands and aggregates to any practical capacity limited only by site size and stored material flow properties. Common compartment capacity is 200 t so total storages of 2000 t plus are easily achieved. Our bins generally have a steel discharge hopper to assist with material flow.
Cylindrical Steel Silos for cements and flyash. Common sizes are 41, 56, 68, 74, 85, 85 short, 100, 108, 125, 140 m3 either single or double compartment, one piece fully welded construction if transport allows otherwise in as few bolt together sections. However any capacity within that range is possible, including short squat high capacity silos for height limited locations.
Conveyors from 600 mm to 1200 mm wide, plain or cleated belts, with scrapers, head and tail chutes, take ups and spill trays.
Airslides are strongly preferenced over Screw Conveyors for simplicity of running, speed and low maintenance. However if a situation means Airslides cannot be used we have extensive experience with Screw Conveyors.
And all necessary associated ancillary equipment required for a batching plant to make them work, fast and clean.
