Welcome to Specialised Sand & Soil

Specialised Sand and Soil (SSS) leases an operational sand and soil quarry owned by GDK Investments Pty Ltd on Pitnacree Road, Raworth, with a view to expanding its current extraction and blending operations. The site has a current Development Consent Number 84011 issued by Maitland City Council. A modification of this consent was proposed, accompanied by a Statement of Environmental Effects. Maitland Council has granted the modification, subject to conditions detailed in Appendix A. Condition 2 required an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to be submitted to Council and reviewed annually. The inaugural EMP was submitted to Maitland City Council in September 2008.
