Roscoe Tumata's Concrete Pumping

I first arrived in Australia from New Zealand when I was 18

My Uncle gave me a concreting job when I first arrived in Sydney, and I took to the job straight away.

I worked in shaping and spraying swimming pools, and by the age of 22, I was offered my first concrete pump and gang by a large company.

Spraying and shaping the Bondi pool in Sydney was one of my highlights. We had a huge gang to work on the pool, and we had to wait until the tide went out to work – and get out before the tide came back in! Definitely one of my most exciting jobs.

I have worked hard to get my own machines and to build Tumata’s Concrete Pumping up to the business it is today. We are very happy to have maintained our regular customer base and loyal clients over the past few decades.

I really enjoy working with people and making sure we always do the job right. I also enjoy being on the machines and I am still very hands-on with their maintenance.
