REMONDIS Australia is part of the REMONDIS Group which globally operates in many fields of business: it recovers raw materials from waste, develops innovative recycled products, offers alternative fuels and plays an important role in the water management sector supplying water and treating wastewater. In addition, REMONDIS removes pollutants from residual and hazardous wastes – which are unable to be recycled with today ‘s technology – and disposes of them using ecofriendly methods.

REMONDIS Australia is part of the REMONDIS Group of Companies. Our parent company, REMONDIS, commenced operations in 1934 and is one of the world’s largest environmental management organizations, operating in 34 countries – including Australia and more than twenty European countries. With a far-reaching network of more than 800 sorting, treatment and processing facilities, REMONDIS collects, processes and markets more than 30 million tonnes of recyclable materials each year.
REMONDIS Australia, founded in 1982, commenced operations with a municipal supply and waste collection contract for Penrith City Council in Sydney, New South Wales. Since then, REMONDIS Australia has experienced significant and sustained growth and is one of the leading waste management and recycling companies in Australia.
REMONDIS Australia currently provides waste collection services to more than 15,000 commercial customers and, through partnerships with local authorities, approximately 2 million residential premises. REMONDIS Australia employs around 800 personnel and boasts a fleet of more than 500 waste collection and transport vehicles. In addition, REMONDIS Australia owns and operates state of the art waste processing and treatment facilities, materials recovery facilities (MRFs), transfer stations and landfills throughout Australia.
