Our company

In the early 1950’s Ray “Bushy” Davis began a single truck cartage company based in Winchelsea, Victoria to service the local district and the former coal and logging industries based in the Otways at Bambra.

Eighty years and three generations later, our company has grown to a fleet of trucks transversing across Victoria carting road making materials, grain, seed and livestock for farms, councils, government departments, and private contractors. 

The family expanded the business with the purchase of Armytage Quarry in the eighties supplying materials for roads and farm tracks including the supply of capping material for the new dual freeway from Geelong to Colac. Crushed Rock, Screenings, Rock Dust, Spalls and Scalps along with landscape rock and boulders for the growing garden design industry are in high demand.

The establishment of Winchelsea Landscape & Garden supplies compliments the existing business structure.
