In 1989, Warrick Farey saw a niche market for distribution around the Riverina region. From humble beginnings with an atco hut, telephone and some maps on the wall Warrick set out to target this market, and to this day, some of those maps still cover the walls – although the service area has significantly expanded. Warrick and Yvonne Farey have gone on to build a business that now employs 33 people from the Riverina.
Farey Transport was built on simple foundations – providing exceptional service, delivering at the right time and the right temperature. Our motto of always ‘dotting our i’s and crossing our t's’, coupled with a professional and passionate team of drivers and office staff, has allowed Farey Transport to grow into the calibre of business it is today. Farey Transport competes with some of the major players in the transport industry, while never losing sight of the small business mentality – hard work and only being as good as your last load. We’re not out to be the biggest, but we sure strive to be the best.
Today, Farey Transport continues operations out of the company-owned depot in Wagga Wagga. This depot provides frozen, chilled and ambient storage, as well as a cross-docking facility for distribution of our customer’s frozen, chilled and ambient products. The depot operates 24 hours each day through the hard work of our dedicated staff.
The linehaul division predominately services the Sydney and Melbourne metropolitan areas, though Farey Transport has the capacity to deliver and/or pick-up product form anywhere in Australia. The distribution division is focused on delivering customers products on a daily basis throughout the Riverina, MIA, ACT, Upper Murray and Lower Snowy Mountains.
Farey Transport prides themselves on the ability to reach far and wide, with a focus on their local community. Where it be one carton or a full load – we hope to be your chosen carrier.
Small enough to care, large enough to serve.
