We began trading as D.K. & E.M. Murray and were founded by Des who has over 50 years of experience dating back to the 1960s. Murray's Water Boring is the longest-established family drilling business in the area, servicing most areas around Victoria. The company now has over 90 years of combined experience spanning over three generations from Des to his son, Gary, and two of his grandsons, Josh and Brad, who all work in the business with Gary holding a class 3 license which is the highest qualification.

We are founders of the ‘no water, no charge’ offer, which we still offer on domestic and stock bores after our free site inspection of your property. We offer reliable service with competitive prices using the most modern drilling rigs in Victoria.

As members of ADIA (Australia Drilling Industry Association), you can be sure that our bores are constructed well above the minimum requirements for water bores in Australia. We use Australian-made 125mm UPVC, which means you’re getting a five-inch cased bore at minimum on stock and domestic permits.

THE DRILLING PROCESS

After arriving at your property for a site inspection, we will discuss your needs and work out where the most suitable place for your bore would be. Our drillers assess the area using their knowledge and history in drilling and the geological formations of the ground on your property. They will give you an honest opinion and estimate of cost. We will also help you organise your permit that is required to drill a bore.

After drilling your bore, we will give you all of the relevant information required for your bore to ensure the best outcome is achieved. This information includes depth and flow rates and applications of required use to get the pump installed. We will also give you some contact details for reputable pump dealers that supply pumps for domestic and irrigation bores in your area. It's important to us that you get a high-quality pump that is fitted by someone who is qualified and has knowledge and experience in the industry so you can get the best result possible from your water bore.
