Locating Utilities Credentials
South Vac has gone a step further than most other Hydro Excavation companies. Two of our staff have been trained in identifying, locating and protecting underground services
(RIICCM202D) with Staking U. This means that South Vac Staff can spot any problems before they occur, and they practise precise, low risk excavation around utilities.

Dedicated Environmental Officer
We have a dedicated Environmental Officer, Natasha Kearslake, who has tertiary qualifications in Natural Resource Management, and broad experience working for, and advising; State and Local Government. South Vac is committed to minimising its environmental impact and continually improving its performance as part of a growing environmentally-sustainable industry.

Our Equipment

We use the Ditch Witch Prospector™ Nozzle for better productivity on all our hydro excavation jobs. This nozzle helps our operators conquer the toughest challenges while boosting performance by 30 percent compared to similar nozzles on the market today. The nozzle reduces water consumption on the job while its cone-shaped cut mitigates damage to underground utility lines, aiding operator’s safety and productivity.
